Vegetables Reduce Acne

Based on Acne Resources Organization there is not enough substantial research that establishes a direct link between acne and diet. There have been cases of allergic reaction during consumption of certain food items that often cause acne. Some indicate that particular chemicals are released while eating certain foods that lead to breakouts. Before looking at the link between diet and acne it is favorable to identify the skin condition and get as much information about the condition a person is suffering from.  Acne is a skin problem that develops when the pores of the skin are clogged causing inflammation.  The most widespread condition is identified as acne vulgaris. Vegetables rich in vitamin E should be eaten since it is considered to be a rich antioxidant that is favorable for enhancing the appearance of the skin. It can be eaten or applied onto the affected areas. The vegetables containing vitamin E include dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach or asparagus. It is favorable to eat the vegetables raw rather than cooked or steamed since the beneficial properties are released into the water. According to the Young Women’s Health organization vegetables is not only favorable for improving the skin condition but acting as a source for provision of essential healthy nutrients and vitamins needed by the body.

Acne Resource Organization states that it is not just essential to improve the acne condition but to take care of the skin; the health of the skin can be improved by consuming vegetables rich in folate, calcium, iron, vitamin K, C and A. Some recommended food items include romaine or arugula that should be eaten daily around half a cup thrice a day. According to an article on Awakening Health green turnips or kale can also be eaten to reduce inflammation.
