Acne Prevention


Acne if not a hereditary disease can very well be prevented if we would just use some preventive measures such as avoiding excessive make up, avoiding oily foods, and practicing cleanliness habits. Other than that, if you do not treat your body well with a healthy diet, you could be inviting an outburst of acne and surely no body would want acne on their face. There are many ways to prevent acne outbursts, which if followed could give you clear and fresh skin.

Wash Face Regularly
The face is exposed to dirt and oil throughout the day. Try to wash your face twice a day with a mild face wash. However, do not exaggerate it, as too much washing of the face could cause the important oils to wear off thus leaving skin dry and scaly. Best option is to wash face using natural, home made masks such as honey, egg or any other products.  Excessive use of chemicalized products could leave your skin dry, itchy and more prone to acne.

Exercise Regularly
Exercise is the best way to keep the body and the skin fresh. By exercising you burn all the fatty acids and thus this keeps the skin healthy and glowing. Also be sure that you have high amount water that could help in washing away the toxic wastes.

Skin Products
Makeup should be utilized in minimal amount as possible as most of them contain noncomedogenic or nonacnegenic components that could cause clogged pores. The makeup also contains are dangerous chemicals that could create acne if used excessively. When use hair sprays or styling gel, keep them away from the face as if it lands on the face it could cause the acne to become worse.

Healthy Diet
A diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables would be ideal for acne prevention; however a diet consisting of high calorie food, with junk playing the major part, then you could be inviting unwanted acne outbursts. Always maintain to eat a healthy, natural diet.

Though there are hundreds of prevention methods, one main concept is important. Love your body and keep it as healthy as possible and you might not have any complains of acne.



Ayurvedic Remedies for Acne


There are many theories related to acne as acne is most common skin disorder. All theories have different approach towards acne. There are many theories of which science has no proof but people believe on these theories and follow them. Ayurvedic is also a different type of theory which has very different approach towards acne.

Ayurvedic believes that acne is caused by food along with hormonal imbalance. It believes that if we have bad habits of food then there is a big chance that we got acne. According to Ayurvedic if we take food again and again without gap or we eat two different foods which are not compatible with each other then we got acne. That’s why they think that we should change our foods habit. Take food after moderate interval of time. Do not eat incompatible food like fish and milk at a same time. According to Ayurvedic do not eat hot, spicy, junk and oily food. They strongly believe that food has direct relation with acne.

As far as treatment is concerned they believe on natural treatments for mild to moderate acne. For severe acne they also think that it needs dermatologist assistance. For mild to moderate acne there are hundreds of home remedies available which are following. They are safe and cheap. They don’t harm your skin condition if they don’t cure your skin condition.

  1. For treating acne Ayurvedic believes that plenty of water is necessary to maintain your skin health. 7 and 8 glasses of water are considered good for everyday.
  2. Almond oil is considered one of the best treatments for acne. Take upper layer of 2 -3 almond and ground it with water. Apply the mixture on your face. It is not only good for dryness and inflammation of skin but it is also good for scars.
  3. Fresh juice of apricot is very good for your skin. It is very effective for eczema, itching and for cystic acne.
  4. Take one tablespoon of coriander juice and mix it with a pinch of turmeric powder. Apply this mixture before going to bed in night after washing your face.
  5. Mix a cup of milk and cup of lemon juice in the morning. Apply it before going to bed and leave it over night. Wash your face next morning and wipe it with rough towel. Continue this treatment for couple of days when you see improvement in your skin.
  6. Neem is considered one of the best remedy for skin care. There are some Ayurvedic products available in which neem is used as a main ingredient for acne sufferers.


Forehead Acne


The word “acne” means pimples and blackheads on the face and neck. Acne normally appears on the forehead as a common occurrence for majority of people and is termed as forehead acne. Acne arises on the forehead due to hormonal changes in women during the menstrual cycle, tensed lifestyle and even improper diet, consisting of too oily foods. Sometimes even hair sprays also cause a problem, as they contain oil based components which hits the sensitive skin and creates a problem. Most of the time, birth control pills also play a role in giving forehead acne.

Light forehead acne can easily be treated by benzyl gels or creams, however if the situation gets serious, it is necessary to consult a dermatologist. Antibiotics are often suggested and prescribed by specialists and should not be taken by the individual on a self prescribed basis. The reason being the harsh side affects of antibiotics. Some people could also be allergic to it; hence caution must be taken when using antibiotics.

Antibiotics aim to kill the bacteria causing the acne rather than treating the exterior acne. If you have severe acne which doesn’t seem to get over with gels and creams then only should you opt for antibiotics. It is not to be taken for mild forehead acne. Do not wash your face too much with face wash, as it has salicylic acid which could cause the skin to get dry and acne could be worse. If you have sensitive skin, exfoliate it thrice a week. Try your level best to keep your face clean and healthy by washing it regularly with prescribed soaps or simply by water. Most important drink lots of water and eat fresh healthy vegetables that could help in keeping the skin fresh and beautiful.

Acne can become a major source of depression, if immediate care is not taken. Never take any medication no matter how effective it may seem, without the consultation of a specialist as you don’t want to risk your skin as well as your health at the same time.
